Paris: the first month

Sitting in our new apartment, I desperately try to write something about all of the cool and new things that have happened during the last time I wrote something here. My baby (not so tiny) cat, Léo is sleeping right next to me. I breathe in, breathe out, and try to focus. It has been two months since I’ve tried to put words together about these big changes in my life. Many things came out, but nothing that seemed to translate what I have in my mind and heart.

More than a month ago, I was surrounded by boxes in this tiny studio of mine. It has been my home for three years and served me right. I loved it probably as much as I hated it. And now, it seems as if it was in another lifetime. And yet, here I am, the same me, just a few hundred kilometres away with real adult furniture and a proper bed. Adulthood has been enjoyable lately my friends, growing up is something amazing as much as it is scary.

Now, a month after the challenging move, I feel at home. Sleeping next to mon amoureux every night without him having to leave every Sunday night is a true gift itself. Our family has grown into three with the little tornado we have adopted: Léo. I won’t say that everything is perfect and smooth, but it has been a pretty good adjustment, easy I must say. It seems that it was the right move for us, moving forward a happily life of two (three).

I can hear the metro, the neighbour talking, the breath of my kitten sleeping; all new sounds in a new life of mine. I wanted to document it as much as I could, but it seems that time flies and life don’t often leave you with words to be put on everything, therefore you have to keep things for yourself. I’m gonna write new blog post, I already have three planned for the next weeks. I love this blog, and not being as much present as I wanted is something I have to work on. Writing makes me happy, makes me full, makes me me. Therefore, I’ll see you very soon.

I'm 23, I've got freckles (you get it now) and I'm a grumpy French, sometimes, who writes in English. I love books, cats, le barbu, pizzas and Dicaprio.

  1. Hello, it's nice to know you've adjusting well. Being adult is really hard. I, too, have been adjusting with our recent move. It's really hard and the expenses continuously pile up. I just hope I get to fully adjust soon. :)

    1. It's probably just a question of time and getting use to a new change. But the thing with changes is that it can be really positive :)
